John Heily Jr. became President, taking over from his father John Heily Sr. Oil exploration and the Alaska Pipeline project were well underway and CM obtained exclusive rights to sell bakery products to a workforce of 40,000+ men. The opportunity arose to expand from just pancake and biscuit mixes to a full line of cakes, muffins, breads, and desserts. As business grew the Foodservice division was created and a manufacturing plant was built in Kent, WA to support the expanding business.
