Ultimate Fudge Brownie Mix

Ultimate Fudge Torte
1, 18 oz package Ghirardelli Ultimate Fudge
Brownie Mix (1 pouch brownie mix and 1 pouch
fudge topping)
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
Preheat oven to 325°F. In medium bowl, blend together Ghirardelli Ultimate Fudge Brownie Mix, water, oil and egg until blended. Spoon batter into parchment lined or greased, 8-inch round cake pan. Bake 40-45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and invert onto serving plate. Warm fudge topping by placing unopened pouch in hot tap water for 4-5 minutes. Remove from water and squeeze pouch 4-5 times to soften topping. Cut top off topping pouch and squeeze onto warm torte. Gently smooth over top and sides of torte.
Makes 12-16 servings.
Variation: For Chocolate Orange Torte, prepare as directed, adding 1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest to batter.
